HEROES AND HORSES
For this premiere edition of THE GREEN ROOM, at Sundance Film Festival, our event group has chosen to partner in support of our military veterans with the charitable cause "Heroes and Horses".
MICAH FINK
Globally-recognized humanitarian Micah Fink of Heroes and Horses will be hosting the event, raising awareness for Micah's veteran-focused holistic charity.
Micah Fink spent 10 years as a Navy Seal. He conducted operations in USPACOM, USCENTCOM, and a National Tasking deployment. Micah's earned numerous awards, including the Bronze Star.
Heroes and Horses is on a mission to inspire and challenge a generation of soldiers struggling to cope with the trauma of war.
Whether they have lost a sense of purpose, trust, or faith, Executive Director Micah Fink believes that perhaps somewhere deep in
the heart of Montana wilderness, they will find it again—on horseback.
Heroes and Horses helps veterans move forward so that they can face the next big question: What will bring their life new purpose and meaning?
Heroes and Horses believes in challenging what challenges the human spirit.
The program’s core value is expressed in its motto: "We are not defined by our many scars, but by what we do after the wound closes."
OUR MISSION
Heroes and Horses is a unique program that uses the remote wilderness and the horse/human connection to challenge and inspire personal growth in veterans suffering from mental and physical scars.
OUR EXPERIENCE
Heroes and Horses provides extreme expedition-style horse pack trips teaching self-reliance, teamwork and perseverance. Experienced instructors, many who are combat veterans themselves, lead teams of veterans and their pack animals into the wilderness on epic, life-changing journeys of discovery.
THE CHALLENGE
Remote wilderness challenges, invokes change, and develops new ways to approach and solve problems. By challenging what challenges them, veterans can make peace with their past and replace devastating memories with positive ones.

Heroes and Horses provides a path to restoration by providing combat veterans who have been injured and/or diagnosed with PTSD with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reconnect with their strengths and develop their leadership potential. Our goal is to help as many veterans as possible, but we can’t do it alone.
When you donate to Heroes and Horses, your money goes to fund a solider through a 3-phase/completion program, at no cost to the veteran. The impact from your giving is demonstrated in the lives of the veterans you help to sponsor.
